The Fit Over 40 HRT Journey: Week 4 – Muffin Tops and Super Powers!

Hey there, fabulous readers! Buckle up because it’s time for my 4-week update on this wild ride of fitness and hormones! Spoiler alert: I’m down about 6 pounds! That’s right, folks, just 4 more to go until I can officially declare myself back to my pre-perimenopausal weight. Cue the confetti and the dramatic music!

Now, let’s talk about my clothes. They’re fitting better, and I can finally see my waist again! Those love handles (or as I like to call them, my “emotional support muffins”) are shrinking faster than my patience during my kid’s finals week. Seriously, if I had a dollar for every late-night study session, I could probably buy a treadmill and still have enough left over for a celebratory cupcake!

The most shocking revelation? My sleep has transformed from a restless battle with the mattress monster to a cozy slumber party with unicorns. Most days I wake up feeling like a superhero! But let’s be real—when life gets busy, like this past week where I juggled work, finals prep, and life, I do feel a bit like a superhero who forgot to recharge their powers. But hey, it’s PMS week, so I’m pretty sure my energy is just on a brief vacation, sipping piña coladas on a beach somewhere.

Now, speaking of PMS week, I’m having a moment over here. No night sweats? No PMS weight gain? Whaaaat?! It’s like I’ve entered the Twilight Zone of womanhood. And the bloat? Almost non-existent! I mean, I’m not saying I’m a magician, but I might just be pulling off some serious tricks here.

Oh, and my doctor did mention that the progesterone could throw my cycle for a loop, but I’m not supposed to start until this Sunday or Monday. It feels like waiting for the next season of my favorite show—will it be a cliffhanger or a satisfying conclusion? Stay tuned!

And let’s not forget the gym! I’m feeling strong, and my body composition is heading in the right direction. Don’t worry; I’m still as feminine as ever—no traps like Mr. Olympian here, just a solid “I can lift groceries without breaking a sweat” vibe.

So, here’s to another week of progress, laughter, and maybe a few more emotional support muffins. Thanks for joining me on this journey, and remember: if you ever feel like you’re losing your muffin top, just bake some more!

Until next time, stay strong, stay fabulous, and keep laughing!
